Who Is MASA?

The most affordable peace of mind you may ever buy.

Who is MASA?

MASA is not an insurance company. MASA is an association of nearly 1 million members providing critical, lifesaving and costly services to our members since 1974. With a dozen offices throughout the Northern Hemisphere MASA’s reach is worldwide and help is only a phone call away.

How MASA works:

Each MASA member is issued a membership card to carry on your person which includes your name, your MASA member number and our toll free, 24 hour emergency dispatch number. You can also call collect in the event that you are in an area or country where toll free service does not work. In a medical emergency always call 9-1-1 or contact local emergency services.

Once hospitalized, or when you are needing MASA’s other services, contact MASA. MASA asks no medically related questions prior to joining nor will you be denied membership based on your health history.

What MASA does not cover:

Exclusions/Limitations: Pre-existing conditions, (those treated within 6 months prior to joining), are covered 90 days after joining. Non pre-existing accidents or illnesses are covered immediately. The organ transplant benefits are covered 1 year after joining. All ambulance services are to or between hospitals, not to doctor’s appointments, nursing homes or rehabilitation centers. MASA does not cover: 1) Elective or cosmetic surgery. 2) Active military during active duty hours. 3) Mental illness or disease. 4) Private airplane accidents, (commercial airline flights are covered). This is not a contract. Refer to your Member Services Agreement for each service described.
